1 March Coffee Morning – A Potted History of Ford Airfield

Carlo Marogna takes us through

A Potted History of Ford Airfield

1917 – 1959

Ford Airfield was a bustling site during the First, Second and Inter War periods. It was attacked on what went down in history as ‘The Hardest Day’, a most devastating aerial bombardment, resulting in significant loss of life. Carlo will be showing artefacts to illustrate the lives and times of Ford Airfield.

The airfield is now home to a Category D prison, a tri-weekly car-boot sale, and soon, 1,500 new homes.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday at 10:30
